Late last night, after three hours of testimony, Senate Bill 33 (The Lodging Property Tax Treatment) was defeated in a 6-1 vote by the Senate Finance Committee!

Fighting this bill has been a statewide effort for many months and is a monumental win for the short-term rental community. Thank you to everyone who testified, contacted legislators, and supported our efforts to defeat this detrimental bill. We could not have done this without you!

Update on House Bill 1299
House Bill 1299 will be heard on Monday, April 22 at, 1:30 PM in the House Finance Committee. We will continue to keep a close watch on this bill, but at this time, there is no need to actively engage on this bill. We anticipate House Bill 1299 to be defeated in committee next week.
